OOC Note: I keep my character profile on the RP Repository, including a journal of his adventures and thoughts on what's going on in the galaxy. There aren't too many just yet as I only got back into the game about a week ago but I thought I'd share what I've got so far and add to them as time goes on.
There are some gaps where I had to stop playing or wasn't sure where I was going with the story but now I've got a better idea, I'll be filling those in too.

My father's Eagle has been found.
He wasn't in it.
I haven't seen him in about a decade, thought he was off exploring again. His ship was drifting through space and picked up by a salvage crew, they took it to Shinrarta Dezhra. Now the question is, what happened to him?
Put in the call to have my Cobra taken out of storage. I'd take the Viper but it's in bad shape and they stopped producing the parts 20 years ago. Annoying but at least I can get to Shinrarta and see the ship, see if it offers any clues.
It'll be good to get back into space again. I've missed it.

Made it to Shinrarta, saw my father's ship.
It's definitely his but there's no sign of him or what he was upto. The ship's computer has been wiped and thinks it's 3200.
Not sure where to go from here but I'm sure the answers are out there. I just have to find them.

Back To Space August 23rd 3302, 2:52am
After spending months recovering from injury and surgery, it felt good to be back in space again.
Not only that, but my old Viper Mk2 was delivered to Miller Depot at Barnard's Star today, perfect timing if you ask me. She's undergone a refit, bringing her up to the new Mk4 specs. It was the only way to get her operational again. I'm glad she is though, she's been rusting away back home for far too long.
She still needs some work, those old weapons and shields from the 50s aren't going to hold up against modern tech. Will have to do something about that, she was always a tough ship and I want to keep her that way.

Thought I'd update this log while I sit here at Sullivan Dock waiting for the ship to refuel.
Heard on the news about a drive to combat crime in this system, so headed over here and tracked down a few wanted pilots. Looks like the Black Pain au Chocolat needs a few weapon upgrades. She's good, but she could be better.
Fortunately the 16 million credits I just got paid for bounty hunting here will more than cover it.
Apparently I was in the top 50% for kills. It's been a good day.

While on approach to Jameson Memorial station, I received a message from someone called Kura, they were laughing before opening fire. A moment later they turned and jumping away. Completely pointless if you ask me.
Kids these days.

Been looking closely at the reports of alien artifacts being found in deep space. I'd originally just dismissed it as nonsense, a repeat of the Thargoid mania that swept the bubble 50 years ago but the discovery of the crashed ship has made me realise there's more to it than that.
I remember back in the 50s, my father became obsessed with Thargoids, just like everyone else did. It was all the media could talk about and there was a lot of speculation that the Thargoids were going to return with a new invasion. Of course, that never happened and over time most people forgot about it.
My father was not one of them, he was convinced they were still out there and the Federal and Imperial governments knew about it. Did he go looking? Did he find something?
I'm now wondering if it would be worth making the long trip out to the crash, seeing if it offers any clues to my father's disappearance.
