It would be nice to have a good mix of people in the game.. it needs a good wide community..

How about treating male or female, heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual or trisexual people with equal respect and avoid sexist and inappropriate comments and attitudes in the first place?

tolerance for all. I agree with that... E:D is a place where hopefully people are people and discriminated only by their rank and record of actions.

what this, the 'who shall i try and chat up on the ED forums thread? :D

it matters little to me what sex someone is when conversing via forums, this is one medium where what you say matters more than who you are.

saying that if there are any tasty redheaded women out there my phone number is......:cool:

I'm confused, are you asking about the player's real life gender or that of their avatars? These two things are not always the same. Seeing as we are going to be able to have more than one avatar, I may have one of each.

In the initial release, we are only going to be interacting with other players ships, so actions and intent are the only things you need to know.

One last thing AndyB, be careful about chatting up any tasty redhead female avatars... one of them might be me;)

nice video, good choice of redhead as well - i like a girl with brains, but i did specify redhead women, not redhead avatars. imo if you want to chat someone up online go join a dating site, there are enough of them about. start pinning your hopes on finding a mate in online games and you'll end up like some sad looser standing at the airport with a sign that says 'Jane' while someone called 'John' walks past you and silently thanks you for paying for his plane ticket.

As you cannot know whether the avatar or the real player are anything like they tell you, it's probably best to avoid chatting up (or getting more intimately involved with) others. I have heard some pretty funny/scary stories over the years........

Yeah most of my EVE friends with female avatars are definitely not female. I know maybe 2 or 3 real girls in my Empire.
