commander name/number

Hi everyone.

Just wondering if someone could explain how I find my commander number. I think I remember reading that commander names were only available to very early backers during kick starter, is that correct?

You can find your number in the right hand system panel of your ship and in the station UI when docked.

People who backed the Kickstarter or through the old backers app had the ability to choose their name. Anyone who has bought access through the new store currently can not select a commander name, expect that functionality to be added at some point during the beta.

Hopefully when Premium Beta starts players will be able to choose their Commander name.
