Discussion commander transfer xbox -> pc hangs. "Your request is in progress"

hi,
i've been trying to transfer my xbox account to pc using this guide:

the first step gets stuck:

Choose Console Profile Elite Commander Console Migration

user.frontierstore.net user.frontierstore.net

when i click on xbox, it doesn't even ask me to log in to my xbox account. it just shows this screen and the message "your request is in progress"

tried several browsers, even edge where i do not have any ad or cookie blockers installed...
still nothing

i've waited on this screen for hours... nothing

help???
