Commander Tulip Has Some Serious Stones!

It must be said that Commander Tulip has some serious stones. :)

Just got my Asp fully kitted and was hauling minerals out of Empire space when I spot this empty triangle coming up behind me as I'm inbound for an extraction pickup in an anarchy system. So I target him and see he's just an Eagle and I continue on my way figuring he is just checking me out.

Nope, this guy means business. What? <boggle> He's tagging me? :D

So I go ahead and submit 'cause I figure he must just want to talk. --- Right?

Nope, :) He starts demanding cargo? <boggle> The stones on this guy!

OK, so now i'm smiling and I figure what the heck and I bring up hard points, target him, and come around for my first pass. I figure he will break off once I light him up and I will be on my way.

Nope, this guy proceeds to stay on my back side for a good 5 minutes! I even had to use a shield cell once.

Dude! You got some serious chops there! My hat is off to ya Tulip.

The inevitable did happen though and he made a mistake while I was boosting around and I got him lined up for the 2.5 seconds it took to for my multi-cannon heavy loadout to bring him down.

Good luck bro. Sorry bout that, but you forced my hand. :)

nice Story. One of the reason to play Open Play. As much as people complain about the pirates it always makes for some fun engagement. Even if you do tend to lose some.

The more often I play open the more I like it. I just started keeping a good cash buffer now that I'm past the early cash crunch and loosing doesn't hurt much like it used to.

Open play is the most fun. It's more risk of course but that is essentially what makes it fun! Good story OP, it's always fun to hear about engagements like these David versus Goliath type of engagements!

Quick update ---

He came back for seconds. :) I kept running the same route as he was really not a threat. I figured if he came back in an Asp or a Clipper or something I would bug out fast.

Nope, he comes back in the Eagle again. <sigh>
This time he lined up almost in front of me when I dropped out of hyper and was toast in less than 10 seconds.

I haven't seen him since.

Commander Tulip, I salute you! :)
