Yup - mount i fo please? Looks like an articulated monitor/tv mount with adjustment screws...

Agreed, they look like Articulated Wall mounts for TVs, bolted to the bottom of the chair.

I install many, but have not seen one like that, I need to go through my supply catalog...

I’m looking at centre mounting my warthog with an extension (As most craft in history), as it is proven to be better for precision, and frees up my right side for the keyboard. Also easier for the left hand to take control if I need to type, answer the
phone, or scratch my nose...

I do like the look of these mounts for this usage. Lockable joints. Not to long (15" at full extension) but enough to fold around the base of a chair. A compact base for fitting to a joist on a seat frame. I'd still be interested to hear how much give there is in them when pulling on the attached joystick mid dogfight. Otherwise they look perfect for the job.

Winner winner chicken dinner!

The VESA adapter to HOTAS plate I designed myself and 3D printed myself. You can also find an adapter on thingaverse. I've tucked away the extra cable in the self contained internals and added some cable clips under my chair.

I originally has an X52 but recently got the Thrustmaster because of driver profile issues.
It's always a bit of a challenge remapping controllers after 4 years of muscle memory but I couldn't be happier with the performance and setup using VR!

I was really happy with the build quality of the design. The mounts are capable of holding a 50lb TV at full extension. With my setup I have about 5mm of flex with the all the connection points when I force the stick past the max input forcing the mount to flex, each one has a tiny bit of play and I don't crank on the handles to tight so I can remove the mounts without tools. I can crank on my sticks in a dog fight without issue.

If you wanted your setup to be more permanent just don't use the thumb screws and use a bolt instead. The threaded rod in the joint is steal so you can torque them rock solid tight.

Clever use of the mount - and well done.

I’ve looked at doing that sort of thing before, but never managed to find a mount with lockable joints (for all joints), and did not think to mount to the chair itself, I kept my thinking locked to mounting to the arms.

Thanks for opening my mind up a bit!

For anyone in Aus, this should be close enough...

I’m looking to try it out for a centre mount.

Very nice. I may do something like this with my X-52... providing my medication changes alleviate my fatigue problem so that I can actually use an X-52, instead of having to rely on Xbox 360 controller. Ten minute flight from one station to another wiped me out when I first tried it a year ago. One dogfight against a single ship and I was utterly exhausted. Fingers crossed that the medication change will put an end to that crap...

Sorry to digress... that is an awesome setup! I'm sure VR makes it better. I'll settle for a big monitor with 3D capability - I don't like wearing VR headsets.
