Community Event / Creation Commander's Chair - advice needed

I'm getting armache reaching over to my X52. A better solution is required. I have in mind something like Zorbulev did here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=12745

which used two of these:

to do this:

As you can see, the VESA mounts are designed for pole mounting. They grip Zorbulev's chair well enough but I doubt they'll work on mine. This is the chair I'm using:

The armrests are about an inch wide and 2mm thick. The armrest verticals are ever so slightly curved, but nowhere near as much as it appears from the photo. An identical mounting with flat grippers would be perfect - if such a thing exists. I've no idea where to start looking, really. Can anybody help me out please?

Where can you buy those? been looking for something like them for a while

Edit: Ignore, just followed link and saw they are standard vesa mounts

I opted for a slightly different model that allows for a bit more freedom of movement when setting up the brackets. Take a look at these. I picked them up on Amazon a few months ago, they're pretty slick.

The only drawback I've seen for this setup is that there is nothing protecting the PS/2 cable on the HOTAS bases. If you're not careful, you can break the bloody things right off and ruin them. I've tried finding angled cables to reduce the possibility, but haven't been able to locate any. I'm thinking I may need to modify the brackets by adding something that would project from the front and provide a barrier in front of the connectors to keep from hitting them on the edge of the desk.

The arms on my chair are really weird and curvy and the pole mounts are certainly not a good fit. But, I just got creative with packing pieces. What I did was make the brackets as wide as they would go and then angle them so the monitor plate was as flat as possible. Then, just start packing any space between the brackets and the chair's arms with anything you can find that will give enough friction to stop it sliding around. I ended up using bits of an old extension lead. A few 2" bits of extension lead shoved in all the spaces and then really tightened up the brackets. Its been rock solid for months now, hasn't slipped at all.

Update: I have the same brackets as Valethar. I got them from CPC. I think they were £20 each.

Update 2: because of the way my chair arms curve, I had to attach the brackets at the highest point on the arm and I also suffer the same 'hitting the desk problem'. OP your arms look more vertical than mine so you might get away with attaching the brackets at a lower point which is a lot better.

Looking good! Maybe I do something like this for tuesday.

Well... Or I buy some tape only, it doesn't need to be beautiful...
