Commander's Log 08/25/3308 (Departure)

Commander's Log. 25th of August, 33-oh-8. As I leave The Bubble behind to begin my circumnavigation of the galaxy, I find myself eagerly awaiting the possibilities of what I might find. Some say the expanse between stars is an empty wasteland. An endless void in which exists nothing. Those people could not be more wrong. The universe would never settle for something so boring. Between the stars is filled with clouds of interstellar dust and miniscule particles forming solar winds, planets, moons, asteroids, and massive amounts of hydrogen atoms that form spectacular nebulae when exposed to heat and radiation. Then there are comets, other particles that range from grains of sand to small moons, bursts of radiation, amazingly weird black holes, the ghostly dark matter, and even life on many planets and moons. Space is far from empty, and during this trip, and others to come, I plan to see as much of it as I can. My first target is an O-Class system called Drokio DL-Y GO. Or maybe it's G0? Doesn't really matter. Selecting this as the first of the systems I plan to use as checkpoints is undoubtedly risky as these systems tend to be just the stars and nothing else, but if you can find one of those anomalous O-Class stars that live hundreds of times the lives they are supposed to, they can be the most beautiful systems to see.

End Log.

I have begun my circumnavigation of the galaxy, sort of, I'm not going out to the extreme ends to then circle it. I'm staying in a place my Clipper can easily navigate through as my experience of going to Beagle showed me how annoying the edge of the galaxy can be. I plan to kind of RP the trip through these sorts of whimsical logs detailing what I've seen or what is on my mind. For those of you interested in what I may find or wish to track my progress, these logs will also be put up on INARA. I'll plan to post one every couple weeks or so, unless I find something extremely cool iin which case I'll make an "Emergency" Log to detail the finding as accurately as possible.
