Seriously?

You owe me 2 credits to fix up my paintwork! Your ship might take a little longer to to fix tho! :p

@whatwereyouthinking?

Because they can. Why not? Not as if anything bad will happen to them and they sit back with a bag of popcorn and watch all the rage-threads develop whilst chuckling like a giddy cheerleader.

Its a Win-Win for them.

He got blown up in under five seconds ...

Wait a minute, don't you get shot at for firing INSIDE the station? Or is it just a fine?

You get your butt kicked, although I've read that there is an exploit to do with dropping down in to the hanger to avoid it if you're close\quick enough which is what will probably get sorted out at some point.

The way it works is hover above pad, shoot missile at unsuspecting target, drop onto pad, dock. Meanwhile target either gets hit by missile - bad - or ship has point defence which goes off - very bad. Due to bug, point defence can't hit the missile, but can, and does, hit the station, which takes a dim view of this and shoots the poor target to death.

You don't even need to hover above the landing pad. A default type E viper fitted with two B2 shield cells can tank the internal station guns for a full minute. Such a viper, fitted with 4 dumbfire launchers costs 10,000 credits to re-buy. If, on the other hand you choose to land that viper, it will cost you 15,000 credits to reload missiles and shield cells. You do the math. :)

The main reason attacking people in stations works is because most traders downsize their shields so much, they may as well be using tissue paper. No amount of dumbfire nerfs will fix that.

Lol

Maybe that was his / her plan ... This particular commander needs a bit of practise then ;)

For the record I like griefers... They make the universe colourful... Especially when they explode! :p
