comments on this anaconda build?

don't have a ton of experience in battle, so flame away if I missed something important. let me know what you think of this build... I'm thinking of either going to a known interdiction cite as pirate bait, or joining a wing, and mixing it up with a few pirates. The theory behind the build is to give me decent punch on the weps, and enough shields to let me sc out if I have to.

I looked at the another build others have recommended, noticed he used a lot of lower class turreted weps... is there a strategy behind this? is it better to use lower classed weps and have more SCBs? I also left lightweight armor to keep my jump range somewhat respectable, but could always bump that up a notch or two (but given that the extra armr doesn't really protect my thrusters, not sure this is a worthwhile expense):

anyway, let me know what you think:

drop some of the gimbled mounts and add a fixed?
is chaff that effective?

Yes, all those turrets will stop firing while chaff is active. Also the only effective turrets at the moment are the beam turrets (I don't use them, but it's what others say).

As Nonya said you can deselect a target and your gimbals will fire straight ahead, trouble is you lose the sub target lock and you are firing without weapons convergence when untargeted. It's a work around that's far from ideal if your weapon have a distance between them, so works well on a Viper, not so good on a Python.

A mix of fixed and gimbals is best IMHO.
