Commicating with Wingmen? (attacking Big Score)

So I'm in the scenario where I'm supposed to eliminate the big score, and I clear have a pair of wing men.

Are these entirely self-directed, or is there some means to communicate with them? I have poked at ever interface panel I seem able to get to and haven't figured out a way to shout back at them, although it seems that is an intended feature.

Beyond that, is there a quick start guide to multiplayer? I can't figure out how to actually do anything... I can fly, but Id don't know where to go or why or how to choose.

And thanks to those who helped me figure out how to fly. Still seems weird to have a space craft with yaw rate different that role rate, but still awesome.

ETA: Oh my god. Communicating. Sigh. Can I swear here? I want to swear.

Wingmen follow you. No way at the moment to communicate with them. Wait till the Anaconda and his 6 wingmen appear on radar. Target him and take him out. Best bet by flying very close behind him before opening fire.

I have been doing what you suggest; at one point I got her (it? ships are her, and it seems to big to be a genderless fighter) down to 21% before ramming her and promptly getting whacked. I will continue to try.

I've been setting my power to weps and the rest to shields? Good idea, or bad?

Each star system on Galactic map, seems to have a planet with an orbiting space station. The starting system has one called something city, hit 1 and look at the planets in the system and find the station and select it, ow the targeter with the little yellow dot will point you to it, you use the superdrive "C" to get to it, slow down when you get close and you will see a message at bottom left in blue saying something like safe speed to drop out of superdrive, you hit c and you will be close to the station. Fly to the entrance of it, hit 1 and switch to contacts and select the station and hit request landing, if it gives you clearance..fly in and it will say what dock to fly to inside, hit 3 and switch to functions and select landing gear and deploy it, slide the ship into position above dock and use vertical thrusters to ease it down on the deck and then go buy something nice to deliver to the next station you fly to. Leave and galactic map select another star and Hyperspace jump to it "j", once there find the station etc..wash rinse repeat.
