Commo Rose

Background:
In-game communication in this game is rather, well, suck. Not only it's limited in form, it's very much so limited in accessability. With the controls available, the expectation of commanders having a conversation with other real-life pilots is challenging at best. That's not even talking about utilizing said system during an intense dogfight, where the need of a good communication is even more substantial.
I mean come on, not everyone (especially new players) would have known enough people to establish a wing, or setup a TeamSpeak, or figuring out how to select specific commander vs local chat with or without targetting. Heck most new users don't even know how to select new tabs in the comm window.
To expect players to be comfortable with the current chat WHILE promoting that Elite is an "MMO", is unfair.

Problems:
New pilots having a tough time finding and utilizing the current communication tool. Even more so during intense critical situation.
New pilots not having access to a Wing-mate (or even know what a "wing" is in this game)(hint: it's "guild" in other MMO) and had to rely on public contacts.
Pilots fumbling over the shortcuts and multiple steps to select the correct recipients in composing a chat message.
Pilots with limited hardware accesibilities that they cannot join a public voice-com and had to rely strictly on chat messages.

Solution:
A chat system that's not easy to access, but intuitive with regular gamers, while having critical communication functions.

Proposal:
In *addition* to the existing chat system: The "commo rose". [up]

Easy to use. Easy to customize. Easy to learn. And very familiar to gamers in general.

For example, like holding the left shift allows you to "look around". Pressing and holding another key would pop-up the commo rose and allows user to hover a selection, and let go said key to select it. Include it part of the user training, and boom!

Profit.
