Commodity does not exist!

Hey all! Loving Elite, although I'm not making much cash. I'm currently trying to complete a rank-up mission, and the station requires 3 non-leathal weapons. The only problem is, that no station sells them. Anywhere. In the entire universe.

I started off by using the galaxy map and trade routes to find a station, when that didn't work I tried using two online trade calculators that are mentioned on these forums. Both of those showed 0 or even minus amounts in all stations galaxy-wide. All stations I visit have none, even if it states that they export the commodity.

Any ideas?

Njikan has them, I know 'cos I was running missions to supply them up until 15 minutes ago.

No idea how far that is from where you are though.

I just wandered around, eventually I found a system (don't remember which) that specialised in weaponry, filled my hold, wandered about a bit more and got asked for the stuff again. Because it was already in my hold I could accept and complete immediately.

Sorry that doesn't really help, but the stuff is out there, just quite rare.

Thanks for the help all, but I unfortunately I ran out of time :( good to know they're actually out there - I just wish the trade map gave more accurate info!

look for a high tech system / station with a commodoties market... I do runs supplying weapons to my local systems and thats where I get my guns from...

There was nothing in Era, or any of the supplying systems. I had a very tight time deadline (1hr) so by the time I had looked everywhere the map said they'd be, I had failed.

If you use the galaxy map, you can find out where all commodities are at and where they're going to. You can select items individually. It makes "shopping" much easier. ;)

As excalibus says, generally look for High Tech stations to find non-lethal weapons. I am too far away to check, but looking at the galaxy map around Eravate, I would say GD 219 is a good bet. The station info for McKee Ring, the single station in GD 219, also lists non-lethal weapons as an export.

Hope it helps for when you get the mission again.
