I'm a noob player, been playing maybe a month. In an attempt to build my rank through rep I've had missions that requires a commodity be delivered. In some of those missions there is a warning in red letters that 'if the mission fails I will be fined'. Doesn't say how or why only that I will be. The credits reward and/or the rep reflects those types of missions and are usually higher. So I purchase the commodity and have it in my inventory then when I go to deliver it at the destination port the "Deliver Items" box is solid red therefore is undeliverable. What's the magic trick? What am I missing, doing wrong? I do read each mission carefully but there's only the threat of the fine on mission failure in some missions. I've had to sell the commodity, pay the fine a few times then just move on. Just haven't been taking those types of missions anymore. WHy can I have the commodity in cargo yet can't deliever it? I have delivered commodities successfully many times before but they don't have the mission failure threat in the mission description.
