Commodity Market - includes requirements, but only on first station?

Whilst building my first orbiting station, the various commodities required were highlighted when I was buying the components needed elsewhere.
I come to my second base, and I can see no prompts. Is that something that I need to enable to have happen, or is it just not included in the game logic?

If it's not included, and I please request it as a QOL improvement.

It isn't included but there is a 3rd party website that has a construction tool to track it: do a search for Elite Dangereuse, note the French spelling of Dangerous the site is French but has an English version. You have to do the usual hoop jumping to give it permission to use your log but it tracks all systems you have recently visited so you can select the one you want to track. It doesnt update in realtime like the material helper tool but all you have to do is refresh the page after you dock and drop off resources.

It’s not shown because after the first station, construction is no longer a mission. There’s no time limit. You can take a year to build a station if you like.

Furthermore, a lot of people are using a fleet carrier so the quantities needed will always be wrong anyway (since the game won’t account for what’s stored in your carrier)

I’m not against the idea of a construction filter. I’m just telling you why it’s probably not a mission filter.

There is one way to see it ingame, but it's a bit inconvenient to use. When you open the system map of "your system", then select the construction site and there it will provide a list of which materials you still need and how much for that construction sitte. Other than that, you would have to use something like an external spreadhseet where you keep track of what's required and how much you got delivered already. Personally I figured checking it ingame is a bit quicker than handling a spreadsheet.

Would be interesting to get a "track colonization facility requirements" button just like compare market option with an existing facility. Then the yellow column with price would change to a blue column with quantity need for the build on each market page.

Check "Player tools" board (https://forums.frontier.co.uk/forums/elite-api-and-tools/). Several trackers are available.

I prefer my own (what as surprise ;)), but you need second monitor to conveniently use it. The problem is not just understanding which commodities are needed in general in the market you currently are. You may have several "constructions in progress", you may want use carrier (or you don't want use carrier, even so it has something) and you have to decide where to fly to get commodities you currently need (if you are are not 10lY from Trailblazer). Putting all that into the game itself is unlikely will ever happened.

I’ve been using a simple spreadsheet to track my build progress (Required, On Carrier, Delivered, Remaining) for each of my facilities.

I also. That is the reason trackers (including my) look like such spreadsheet. But there is a difference - you don't have to fill it manually ;)
I have mistyped several times, that cost extra trips... Then I have realized keeping the table up to date costs a lot of time.
And once I had several own "markets" and so could start planning shopping without Inara, I have understood that is not manageable manually.

My solution ("ED Lonely Architect") is probably the simplest to try. It works with local logs only (no networking in any direction), it is a single executable 200kB, without any dependencies, no installation, just run it. And in case logs are "in tact", it should do the rest itself (apart from initial carrier syncing).

PS. Since I am the only user (so far), there can be bugs. But I use it intensively, with several constructions and several markets. No problems so far. No typing, no Inara for shopping (once you have own markets or declare some other as such), station economies without looking in the log plus hauling speedometer.

currently i'm simply writing down what a construction site needs and just scratching off once i have loaded it into my ship. It works fine but an ingame requirement list would be quite handy. Just make your constructions a mission for you personally, so it will show the neccesary resources when docked at a market. sounds simple enough, just like with your primary port.

Going back and forward to the construction site in the galaxy map is just too bothersome as there are so many different items required and you have to check what items a certain market has. Although Inara does help with that.
