commodity price tracking

Is there any website which shows commodity prices over time? Like, a graph that shows the sale price of a commodity going up and down?

I'm aware that I can get current prices on eddb and inara. I'm asking about graphs over time.

Is there a pattern? Is there a reason why sometimes one of them will go over a million for a few minutes?

There are TO Many stations to list them all... and not every system is visited Every day, so No site can get access to a system that is not visited...

If you know of a station in a system that "had" a high price you can view its past prices for an item on EDDB and look at the past price chart...
Go to the station goto the market and then click the chart icon..
All sites rely on USER uploads, NO upload, no update of info...
So there could be a station buying Benitoite for 1.2mill but until someone actually lands there and uploads it will never show on the sites..

Yes there is a pattern and its been well researched in the bubble and other regions for each item,
States effecting station controlling faction... affect price.. Both negative and positive
Population effects demand, the higher the demand, the higher the price.
More items sold at the station the lower the price is...
And station economy, different economy affect the price of different items...

there is Ian D.s project for the colonia region: https://cdb.sotl.org.uk/ - he tracks commodity prices historically.

exampel: history of advanced medicines at amber dock: https://cdb.sotl.org.uk/stations/111/trade/41

his thread https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threa...ly-demand-and-relationship-to-the-bgs.441646/ explains almost all of the effects you can see on prices.

I was just looking for a chart showing the high prices over time. It appears that whenever a price is posted on eddb, people go there to sell stock from their carriers, and the price goes down (and that's realistic behavior - I'm not complaining about it). I was just trying to understand if there was a pattern like maybe if the prices go up in the morning or at a certain time relative to the BGS.

Thanks for the info, to everyone who replied.

That sort of major price change upwards will occur at the BGS tick (currently around 1430 UTC).

How long after that it takes to be picked up on places like EDDB will vary quite a bit more - it might be reported almost immediately, or it might take hours.

For Colonia stations only I keep that sort of "price extremes" graph for commodities - e.g. https://cdb.sotl.org.uk/reserves/252/pricehistory
(For other commodities, Reserves, then use the history link on the right, then switch to the pricing history graph)
