Commodity prices don't match up.

I'm not sure if this is a background problem or not but when I'm using the commodities market in the game none of the import or export prices match up with the prices on the boards that are in the galaxy tab.

Is this intentional or is it a bug cos id love to use the process but I'm not making the prices that are displayed.

regards

Not sure I understand the problem you're talking about?

If you're talking about the commodity price in the "Galactic Average" tab on the commodities market, the problem is it's the "galactic average"... noting a commodity like Basic Medicines can be purchased for as low as 130cr and sold for up to =~ 5000cr, but the "galactic average" is 436 credits.
Conversely, there's local variances. Galactic average for palladium is 12900 or thereabouts, but you won't find it cheaper than 13,000 in my area of space, it's just the way things are.
Short version; Only thing I use galaxy average for is to work out the relative value (low, med, high) of an item. Other than that, it's not much use.

But if you're looking at the export profit to a station which says, say, 500cr, and you get there and it's only 400cr profit, it's only an estimate figure.

Also, your active crewmembers will (i think) take their cut of the profits too.

This sounds related to something I've bug-reported before:
https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...ntradictory-information?p=7139634#post7139634

Unfortunately, although it's a long standing issue, I reported it towards the end of Beta and it got cleared down with the general mass of reports (understandably). I've been waiting for the more serious 3.3 bugs to start getting resolved before I report it again. I'll try to add some more examples too.

In the meantime, I'd use the map to pick somewhere that looks like a good profit but use the prices listed in the commodities market to check before committing to it.
