Commodore 64 mini

Yup. I was just about to go fetch my SNES Classic Mini that's just arrived at a local post office when I saw that a C64 mini is in the making. :)

Having played many C64 games in my early youth, I can't say I recognise many of the included games in the mini version.

From the website:
"PLUS – Full sized, fully working version also coming in 2018 as well!" :D

It's so sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet...........

I'm waiting for the Amiga 500 version personally even though I have loads of Amigas already...

Very tempted by this...

I wonder if it would run the game I wrote for it in Assembler :)

Sadly it's been many years since I knew what happened to the hex printout I made as a backup, and which would be the only copy now.

I recognise about 11 games in their list. Paradroid, Wizball, Ultima, and (obviously) Elite should all be there IMO!

EDIT: ninja'd. IK+ yep that's a good 'un.

What's so special about another ARM SoC running an emulator? These kind of devices are dime a dozen in various flavors made by the Chinese since over a decade.

Nostalgia sells.

I have a modern version of a Competition Pro joystick for no reason other than nostalgia.

Two words:

"Oh wow!"

Nostalgia deployed....

I've still got a couple of C-64 diskette drives that are used in some legacy tech (not C-64) and I regret now not keeping my C-64 and Amiga and putting them in the garage somewhere (like I've done with my PS1).

These remakes usually miss key titles, such as Bruce Lee, Power at Sea, Commando, Defender of the Crown...

And this gem, I guess it's not politically correct anymore, like Benny Hill. :D

An early look at the thing:

Personally, I'm not hugely interested in this. I think I'm too young for it, although I did play some games back in the day.
In Sweden this costs between 90 and 100 euros.

I still have mine, complete with floppy drive and some books. :)

Yeah for me the price is too high (as it was on the SNES mini too imho). 50 notes would be more like it.

As someone who had the 64,128, zx spectrum and Amiga I’m not really looking into a time wrap regarding technology.

If I should go back in time it should be for real :D
