Comms Open Dad, Broad Bandwidth...

Hello,
This question specifically pertains to the pre-order of Elite Dangerous on the Playstation 4 and thus will be time sensitive.
I have looked for the answer to this question all over the internet and have been unsuccessful.

Please tell us, does the regular digital download of Elite Dangerous come with the full game including all of its current expansions? I don't see any indication of Horizons being able to be bought separately and the descriptions on the Playstation Store, Frontier and Elite websites do not specifically include or exclude the expansions from the base download.

I am buying 6 copies of the game digitally and would rather let members of my family spend money on micro-transactions independently. If frontier credits is the only difference between the two download versions, I can set this straight right away. My youngest daughter doesn't care for RMT stores but my Son will definitely spend thrice the allowance that the deluxe edition will include on day one. I'd rather let them Micro from 0 points. Thanks in advance.

End Transmission.

Horizons requires the base game (Elite Dangerous) to run.

What is available is Elite dangerous - so just the base game,
or Elite Dangerous + Horizons, which is the base game and all of the Horizons expansions to date, plus one more that is due for release Q3 this year.

I'll move this over to the PS4 forum section - they know much more about it there :)

From the store:

The Commander Deluxe Edition is the ultimate way for new Commanders to experience what Elite Dangerous has to offer. The bundle includes the base game Elite Dangerous, Elite Dangerous: Horizons and the Commander Pack, which grants access to a collection of items with which to customize your ship.

and then https://store.playstation.com/#!/en...rous/cid=EP2377-CUSA05308_00-EDPREORDERBUNDLE

Elite Dangerous is the definitive massively multiplayer space epic, bringing gaming’s original open world adventure to the modern generation with a connected galaxy, evolving narrative and the entirety of the Milky Way re-created at its full galactic proportions.
Starting with only a small starship and a few credits, players do whatever it takes to earn the skill, knowledge, wealth and power to survive in a futuristic cutthroat galaxy and to stand among the ranks of the iconic Elite. In an age of galactic superpowers and interstellar war, every player’s story influences the unique connected gaming experience and handcrafted evolving narrative. Governments fall, battles are lost and won, and humanity’s frontier is reshaped, all by players’ actions.
400 Billion Star System

The Commader Deluxe addition has the Horizons content, the base game does not (which would seem to the the £20 price differential).

It may be best to wait for a proper FD response though.

Just to add-on to what Ian said, the pre-order bonus for the base game (Elite Dangerous @ $29.99) is Elite PS4 Avatars (for US players) and a Gold Sidewinder paint job. It does not come with any Frontier Points or Expansions. The Deluxe version has Avatars,Gold Paint, Commander Pack, Horizons Season Pass. There is no Frontier Points listed for the Deluxe version pre-order

The Legendary Edition (physical disc version) is the only pre-order version listed with Frontier Points. It includes the Horizon Season pass but there is no mention of the Legendary Edition including the Commanders Pack
