In a ship this was acceptable, but in the case of feet it crosses all boundaries. I didn't know the MMO implementation in Odyssey was so bad.cmdrs dont have dialogue boxes, only chat
I don't quite understand you. What does this have to do with other games? Or if it looks the same in other games, is it normal for Elite ?Isn't that pretty much how it works in most games?
Fallout '76 has voice coms, (Area and team) which isn't too imposing, (Occaisionally surreal when some kid is getting called for tea or getting told off with an open mike) you need a headset to tell where shots are coming from. Normally I play Elite without so no microphone.Isn't that pretty much how it works in most games?
What is it you are expecting to see? A menu box of text options for other commanders, the same as for npcs?I don't quite understand you. What does this have to do with other games? Or if it looks the same in other games, is it normal for Elite ?
It doesn't work that way with CMDR's you have to use the chat option menuI don't get to play much in open play and even less on my feet. Here I am at the station approaching the NPC that can offer me a mission and some dialog box appears.
And how does it look if I approach at the station to another commander?
ED has team comms, which again is expected. Area comms sounds like a nightmare; can't imagine the trash you normally see in global chat being in my earsFallout '76 has voice coms, (Area and team) which isn't too imposing, (Occaisionally surreal when some kid is getting called for tea or getting told off with an open mike) you need a headset to tell where shots are coming from. Yes.ED has team comms, which again is expected. Area comms sounds like a nightmare; can't imagine the trash you normally see in global chat being in my ears. Is that the norm though? Or even desirable?
