Community Challenge taiga animals

I just started breeding for the new community challenge today. I have habitats with Moose, Timberwolfs, Racoons. I released already a couple of wolfs, racoons and one moose with 4 stars. They all are tagged as taiga in the zoopedia but only one of them (I think it is the moose) counts for the challenge.

Do you guys have any experiences which species counts for the challenge?
Plus there is no steam announcement for the challenge. Is the challenge maybe not working correctly?

It seems to work with a delay for me. I released a 4 star grizzly bear and only got the reward 10 minutes later. Maybe they tried to fix the previous issue? (no one getting reward animals at the end of challenges)

I just noticed that releasing my 5 star animals counts. No delated counts for the former 4 stars though.

I will give the grizzly bears a try aswell.

Hello there :)
I asked myself the same questions and it doesn't seems clear 😅
On the "in game" zoopedia, we can see 12 "Taiga" species on the vanilla game.
But on their own website (Planet Zoopedia), we can see only 4 species including one by DLC (Przewalski's horse)..
So i started releasing 4 stars animals from the shortlist (7 Brown bears, 5 Japanese macaques, 3 Siberian tigers) but i still don't receive any points for the challenge...

I can continue my investigations but i don't want to ruin my zoo for some tests 😅 Even more if we are not able to finish the community challenges anymore ...

All the recent challenges remains unfinished so we won't have any rewards but this one seems finishable if it's works correctly...

I think their official website isn't showing the correct information. If you have all DLC you should see over 30 habitat species with taiga biome tag.

Przewalski Horse doesn't even have a taiga tag in the game, only desert and grassland.

I'm afraid the community challenges are currently broken, we can only hope for a fix sometime soon.

Definitely, their website is completly wrong 🤣 Snow Leopard is the best exemple 😅 Thanks Frontier for the nice tool 😎

At least, the challenge was fixed on time and we'll see if we can get the rewards this time 🤞

I released a good number of animals for this challenge and the community achieved 100% of the goal. Great! But today no reward animals for me. Anyone got anything? Or is that a thing of the past? 🥲
