Community goal completely out of reach

BUT Yembo has been running out of Stuff to supply since the Patch.
That makes the the whole thing a one way trip.
So the Community Goal needs to be more important to you than Trading for you to bother to keep doing it, unless they un-nerf the Supply/Demand imbalance.

The basic flaw is thinking many people will be satisfied with making a personal 0.1 percent change within a single star system, in a galaxy of 400 billion stars.

It's as if star systems are a rare precious resource, which isn't the case. I would be prepared to put in a weeks dedicated grind if I could build an entry-level station in a star system somewhere, or even a month if i could build something complex in stages I could see. Or me and 7 friends could build a station in a few hours.

Maybe FD are future-proofing the game for when there are 400 billion players.

The tiers refer to total community progress. Higher tiers, individual rewards will increase (or maybe just the global, but I think probably individual levels will increase as well. We'll see), global reward will increase. I contributed 147T last night and I reached the 'top 70% contributor level'. If more people participate we can see what happens when we go up a tier, but people on the forums seem to be uninterested unless they see the numbers up front.

You can lead a CMDR to a new game mechanic, but you can't make them have fun.
