Community goal galaxy map icon colour - green is a poor choice

Last week's 'peek of the week' showed us what FD are going to do with community goal galaxy map icons, looks like they're going for green. For people with lots of friends that may end up looking something like this (spot the CGs);

I think they should be a more unique colour so they stand-out, perhaps yellow;

This might seem like a small or petty issue, but if they get it right the first time they won't have to go back and tweak it later.

Yes, but icons are supposed to stand out at a glance, otherwise they would all be the same colour - filters are just another layer of functionality to help the user.

I agree totally with the OP. When I first saw that peek of the week I initially thought "well there's a friend marker but where's the new CG marker they're talking about". The yellow looks pretty good or they could just go with the white that's used for the background of CG entries in the Transactions panel.

I think the point is that *any* colour would be fine - except the same damn colours that have already been used. Blue, purple, pink or brown, anything but a duplicate, please, or we must assume that there has been absolutely no thought or analysis gone into this so called "improvement".

Yeah a different shaped icon would also work.

It hadn't even crossed my mind until I saw the OP. I think that needs fixing.

But some people are lazy and don't care about the filters.
I'd say make it high contrast; blue or something. That's a simple pallet switch.

I think the same white color used to denote CGs in the transaction tab would be fitting.

well we've got red markers for ships, green for friends, orange for mission's, why not blue/cyan for CG's?

Looks like they've updated the icon a bit, it''s still green though.. hopefully this will change before release.
