Newcomer / Intro Community Goal Rewards: What if your side loses?

Let's say you have a scenario like what's playing out in Quivira right now. Side A vs Side B. If Side A wins, do the participants of Side B get nothing, or only whatever rewards they have earned to that point?

Quivira is very unbalanced and its pretty clear that Empire is going to lose. Of course, I'm playing for the Empire.

Seems like it would be fair for the losing side to get whatever they've earned when they lose, at least. Otherwise these community goals really aren't worth the time. As others have pointed out before, the rewards aren't very good even for the winning side.

Frankly I could make more cash and have more fun at a RES site, I'm playing the CG to oppose the traitor Patreus. Of course, that's assuming that the outcome "counts" in the ongoing story ... a bit of a waste of time otherwise!

You do get what you earn and turn in..but if your side loses...you don't get the performance based bonus.

Thanks - that's what I figured. I hope they increase the rewards to make it worth the time. Right now even 10M isn't enough to justify the amount of grinding you'd have to do in solo to get it.

A related question - I've destroyed about 300 ships for the Empire during this CG but haven't ranked up with them at all. What's the deal with that? If I'm going to spend time here and earn less credits I'd at least like to rank up a bit.
