Community Goal Trade Bias

As the title indicates, IMO there is a distinct bias toward trade CG's rather than combat related ones.

Can whoever authors these things get with the programe and balance the ledger.

Surely we don't need three trade CG's at the same time whilst combat pilots wait yet another week for some content.

Even a cursory glance at participation rates and conclusion times will tell you that combat is probably three times more popular.

Why do you constantly cater for one and neglect the other?

You combat guys at least get a community goal two or three times each month. We haven't had a proper exploration community goal since November 17th. You've had six combat CGs since then.

Well judging by participation rates this "we" you speak of is a comparatively small segment of the player group.
I also think there needs to be more exploration and mining CG's instead of endless "cart random crap' CG's.
And FYI I'm triple elite so I've done enough trading to bore anyone to death.

If you are triple E then you have done your share of mind numbingly tedious combat too ;)
 
I'm just wondering where are the gankers? These ones seem to be too easy/boring in open with everybody off in beta playing MC.

No it is not, it is a space game that has trading along with other professions. This was never intended as a clone of the 1980's original, it is a combination of all the previous games in the series reimagined with modern tech.

The two bubble CGs currently running are player submitted ones. Anyone can suggest a CG, of any type. There's no restriction on the type of CG you submit so whether you want to do trade, rare goods, exploration, smuggling, salvaging, mining, combat or bounty hunting, you simply need to submit your suggestions and I'm sure some of them will make it into the game. Details below.

They don't accept every idea (my suggestion of Jaques Quinentian Stills to Hutton Orbital didn't make it :( ) but as you can see from the fact that 2 of the 3 current CGs are player submitted, it's possible to get your suggestions in.

Normally I would agree with the OP.

Trade CGs are so f-ing boring. And we get a steady diet of them.

Right now I'm busy doing the soft CGs at Quince, one of which is based in combat. These soft CGs will stand until 2.3 hits.
