Hey guys,

We wanted to just let you know about a bug that's been identified regarding community goals.

Currently the community goals rewards are automatically cashing in without the need to collect them. You're still being given the correct amount of credits, however this is not working as expected, it *should* only be cashing in rewards that have been left uncollected for 8 weeks.

The dev team just wanted to make sure that everyone was aware of the bug, rather than make a late and potentially risky Friday fix, this will be worked on early next week.

This is one time to make the bug a feature and maybe extend it to bounties as well. But would need some kind of tracking to verify it ha really been paid. So really need a copy of Eve's ISk logging, every single ISK gained/spent/transferred is logged

ah nice, I still have the mercs of mikun mission from ages ago :D
although it now displays correctly I'm back in the 40% bracket

How sure are you. You seem to be the only one that this has happened to. Is it at all possible that you have received the credits but not noticed? It should have been 4.5mil for 40% unless you got kicked to top 50% in the last few moments and got 3mil.

I'd say if you are 100% sure that you have not received the credits then use the bug reporter to ask Devs to check your recent paid in/out and verify, although as said since you seem to be the one of 5000+ contributors I'd say you should check the maths first and see :D
As Zac said in the post it was meant to be an automatic system and the bug appears to be with the time (instant not 8 weeks), since its automated It doesn't really stack up. Again, if its true I apologise and wish you all the luck in sorting it but as I say I just don't see how it did it for everyone else and missed you...

Edit: Apparently I stand corrected and this has occurred to more than one person. Still not sure how but whatever, hope it can be retroactively proven and fixed.

Well I was at TOP 5%, due 15,000,000cr and received NOTHING !!!!!!
So your statement that everyone is auto receiving their rewards is not correct.

After 1.3 hit, some people who had an uncollected (probably low) reward pending from an earlier CG suddenly found they were the #1 Cmdr, and got silly amounts of cash.

So, 1.4 in ~8 weeks then:)

I used all my willpower to not take the bugged 20 million credit rewards for pre-1.3 CGs, but now they just cashed in automatically. You know what? Don't dare take that money back from me.

I logged in after the Lembava CG ended and yes indeed... the credits were auto-delivered to my account (top 15%).
I can't complain about not getting my reward but... it was kind of an anti-climax. After participating on-and-off during a month-long community goal you kind of want to see the final end-screen showing you your standing, your rewards and how many reports you contributed toward the overall total. I kind of feel robbed of that.
I'm not mad though... I know its a bug and nobody is more upset about this then the Devs who probably are kicking themselves over this. Cheer up guys! I'm sure you'll get it sorted before the next CG ends!

Thanks for letting us know Zac, really glad to know it was not the intended behaviour. What a very great shame that this bug should hit at the end of such a very long and extremely popular CG whose conclusion was so highly anticipated and which proved to be such an anti-climax :-(

It was already said above but, it would be nice to see something that shows the auto turn-in worked one way or another. I give the programmers HUGE kudos for this game but not seeing a 16 million credit bonus for a week's worth of work for 2 community events is memorable and frustrating. Also to see someone like Alex, which I love the half retraction --> "whatever" - I got mine so I don't care that I am wrong comments, adds to it.

Frontier awesome work and love the game, it would be nice to gain some of this back though. The loss of a large bonus is a small setback to a awesome game but it still stings quite a bit.

Great work and keep it up - great game! I have been waiting for something like this for a good long time...ohh 2 decades or so!

I kinda like the new/bugged giving out credits as it saves you having to return to the station which for some is many jumps away
If they improve it with a message in your inbox "Thank you for your assistance commander XXX. We have credited your account with YYY credits. Hugs n kisses ZZZ" (obviously write it with more gravitas)
It's the 34c and you'd think that they'd have decent ways of doing it - after all we get automatic BACS transfers for salaries and we're only 21c! ;)
(and why docking computers are so huge as to take a slot of your space....)

I don't quite understand what the issue is here..? Last time I looked I was in the top 40% of the exploring CG thing, but I am on holiday and can't get into the game before next Saturday, so I guess I'll find out... but I hope that it doesn't mean that all those hours I spent doing exboring is for nothing... hey ho, good job its only a game.
