Compact VR

Greeting Commanders.

I'm looking for a spot advice from you VR afficandos. I travel a lot for work and am looking for a compact VR set to add to my travel kit. I use a Surface Book, a XBOne controller and a pair of Sony MDX 1000x headphones. The Surface Book may not be up to the job, though.

Thank you matey peeps.

LOL. They say the next Surface Book will be up for it.

I don't think it'll be that much of an upgrade :D

Both my surface pro's 3 and 4 are wheezy little things that cook themselves the minute you open a browser and have a battery life shorter than an extremely short thing. The Books aren't much better :D

The only reason I have them is utterly ridiculous and would have most of this forum in fits of hysterical laughter - only "tablets" are allowed at the big-boy meetings :D

You could try the Avegant Glyph video headset. It's not real VR, but more like a head mounted 65" monitor.

If your Surface Book is able to run Elite decently, it should be able to pull the Glyph. It works like a normal second display.

Disclaimer: I haven't tested it my self. Only read some comments and reviews.
