[Complaint] Minimal increase in reputation in large donations in Cr.

Doesn't it seem abusive to you that donating 1,000,000 mission credits gives the same amount of reputation as donating 300,000 (for example)? I mean, the neck does not go up more than 2+., Whatever you give. Does anyone know how to report this situation to the developers for the next patch? Am I the only one who does not see this as normal? I find it abusive that the rise in reputation to the donation that is made is not consistent.

I would give only 1+ for all that donation missions. Don't even need to leave the station and the whole thing takes 5s, not cool for the bgs.

Yea but at the same time you're handing over enough credits that it would take multiple Elite level missions to recoup the pricetag bag. That seems fair to me.

I think they skimming your pay. Most of the missions I run are 1.5-2.5mil plus 2+inf and 2+rep. I use the donation missions to get some rep back with other factions or use it for a fast way to mess with somebody else's bgs. After all is done I still have a big plus on my balance sheet. I think you should go somewhere else, they are ripping you off, I'm telling you.;)

lol! Could be. I should work on my negotiating skills

Awwww. Somebody still cares about credits. How cute!
This. Unless it's an enemy faction (and even then sometimes) I take every single donation on the board. Easy way to gain rep (you never know when it will come in handy, ditto the chain missions) and helps to stir up the pot in quiet systems.

As for the OP, just don't take missions you think aren't worth it.

The only reason to make any donation is to rep quick, as Riverside said.

You can gain rep quite quickly by other means as well, can't recall the last time I donated CR to anything, must be nearly 2 years ago.

As far as CR is concerned, missions for less than 2 mill are not worth the effort unless they piggyback.

Quite right, as stated, CR is devalued when it's so easy to generate. Unfortunately, FD has perpetuated this slide by making CR accumulation a goal, which is quite worn-out.

I only take non Mat Mission,s now if they fit with were Im going anyway as Creds are irrelavent and I will donate if it makes Mat Missions better quicker for the same reason I would do the missions ,sourcing for free for the right mats

Doesn't it seem abusive to you that donating 1,000,000 mission credits gives the same amount of reputation as donating 300,000 (for example)?

Well, its certainly not abusive.

But here's a Top Tip for you - if you have 1,000,000 credits to donate, try instead to do 3 x 300,000 donation missions - not only will it result in more reputation gain, but it will cost you 100,000 credits less, too.

Different apparently identical Donations give different moves in the slider. Sometimes a 300k will give a much bigger jump than a 1M

Nothing wrong with donation missions in my books. I have a couple of factions in a tourism station who I'd like to be allied with, but who rarely provide missions of interest, so each time to opportunity to donate appears... (That is with this account) Likewise with teh chained missions, I don't mind delivering 1t of explosives to another station for 4 or 5 rep+....

Once allied the donations dry up, unless I'm scratching around for something different on the mission board :)

Those missions were hammered into the ground with the nerf hammer a few years abck, as people were, and this amy shock you, exploiting them by going to outlying systems and spamming donation missions to rank up fast with superpowers. It used to be so bad pwople could rank up from federation hostile to rear admiral in a day spamming donation missions, which were only five figures back then. So out came the nerf hammer, rep gain went down and price went up. I think there is a small element of trolling ongoing with the donation missions though:

The chained biowaste missions are brilliant! Never fail in making me grin 👍

I wasn't playing pre-nerf of donation missions, but can imagine the fun to be had from your comments.

Back then folk used to put a case of lager in the fridge, write off a weekend, and go to 17 draconis and grind their eyes out while loitering on discord or netflix etc, spam about 50-100mill of donation missions, and unlock the corvette, so "fun" maybe isn't the right word. But yeah, theres definite trolling from the devs with biowaste in game, about the same time there used to be a lot of long range smuggling slaves missions from Robigo back to the bubble, they were cut in 2.1, and in their place the new money making exploit opportunity became sothis long distance haulage missions of....

...wait for it...

...you guessed it...

...biowaste...

... to be hauled 500LY back to the bubble. So there were droves of people going up there in cutters, conta's and T9's (corvette had terrible jump range back then) loading up with 400-700T of biowaste and hauling it 500LY back to the bubble - eesh! Even worse, NPC pirates would pursue and interdict them, "all that tasty cargo" - I don't even want to know 😂
