Powerplay Completely Daft PowerPlay Question...

So, trying to get them Prismatic Shields from what's her name....

I went to Bunda, a Winters controlled anarchy system. And killed some stuff.

And gained zero merits for it, despite being a hostile power.

So who else can I kill to gain merits?

I was hoping to grind up the 750 merits today, but instead, I've just spend an hour trying to figure out who Aisling Mc Blue Faces enemies are. Lol

I feel like I'm being incredibly thick assuming a Federation power would be an enemy... But it doesn't seem to be written down anywhere...

Help?

CMDR Cosmic Spacehead

Edit:

Nevermind! I'm just being thick.
Bunda was working fine, it just wasn't registering the merits for a few minutes. Lol
Of course, it waited until I was half way to Madon to show up. :p

For Aisling there is no combat, she's more trade oriented.
To gain merits, you have to go to an Aisling controlled system and pick up media leaflets (or what are they called) and deliver them to uncontrolled systems. And basically that's it.
No pew pew involved as you can se below;

Preparation

Social
Expansion

Finance
Control

Any powerplay faction that is aligned to the same superpower is considered friendly and killing them gets merits taken off you. So if your with disney princess, then you cannot attack denton patreus, Arissa Lavigny Duval, Aisling Duval, or Zemina Torvalds agents. However I suspect you've probably racked up kills but not handed the merits in, have a look in your left hand panel at the transactions tab, you should see X merits Aisling Duval. You need to go back to an Aisling Duval system and hand them in like bounty vouchers before they appear in your powerplay / righthand panels. Like bounties and cpombat bonds, those merits get destroyed with your ship, so if you've been killed then they are gone.

Wrong.

All PP factions work the same way where gaining merits are concerned, it's only the flavour text that is different. You can undermine enemy factions by destroying their ships in their controlled systems which gets you 35 merits a pop (IIRC).

You don't have to haul a thing.

Top Tip: Sign up and do nothing for the faction for 3 weeks, then on the Wednesday before PP gets updated, kill enough ships to get enough merits to get you to the required reward level (once handed in). When PP ticks over on Thursday you'll immediately be able to collect your wage, buy your shields, and you're done.

What BunkerBird and Jayridium say is correct, merits for Aisling are mostly deliver Program Materials FROM Cubeo TO systems that are Controlled by Aisling, or take Media Materials FROM a system Under Preparation to ANY Aisling Controlled system.
I go to https://trello.com/b/HBY3rRZR/aisling-duval and work my way thru the Fortifying Sytems list.

If you want to do combat for merits, its a lot slower, you only get 10 merits (or is it 30? I havent recently gone combat -mode) for each kill, either in Combat Zones in these systems, or use an FSD interdictor module in super-cruise, and even then you cannot attack other Empire factions or you lose merits from your current total.

When I want to do some combat for merits (undermining), I go to these areas, you dont get a Wanted status.
I copied this information from elsewhere in the forum, I forget now. Rep to the original poster.

"" Bounty-free undermining. Hunt here to undermine without incurring a bounty. Double check the government in these systems since eddb.io is occasionally wrong.

The number between () is the distance from Cubeo.

NOTE: These are just the nearest systems. If you want more information, head to eddb.io

Hi. I started PP yetserday and have a PP newbie queston.

How do I find systems where I can do bounty hunting. The list above contains anarchy systems - I think the is to avoid the wanted status but how can I find out what ships I should destroy? I work for Aisling Duval. What are the enemy ships and systems?
