Ship Builds & Load Outs Component transfer

I can't find the answer to my question anywhere so i figured this was the place to ask. After storing components i cannot find them in my list on other stations, is it as i fear that the components are only stored on that particular station?

If you store modules at Jameson memorial in Founders then head off to Alioth you can't access/fit the modules in Alioth unless you have them transferred to your current station, sadly they don't follow us around I'm afraid.

So i can transfer them? Do i do that by fitting them on a ship and transferring that or is there a straight up transfer button?

It works like the ship transfer i.e. you pay a fee (% of the module cost) and it takes time based on the distance from your current location, if you look in outfitting there's a stored module section and it'll list the modules you have stored, where they are and how much it'll cost and how long it'll take to move them to where you are currently.
