Computer specs

Good afternoon,

I have a cyberpower gaming PC that is a few years old now, and was thinking of upgrading the graphics card.

Processor: Intel(R) Core i5-7400 CPU @ 3.00GHz (4 CPUs)
Memory: 24576MB RAM

The current device is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX1060 3GB:

Approx Total Memory: 15235 MB
Display Memory (VRAM) 2965MB
Shared Memory: 12270 MB

I've never really done a hardware swap in a machine, but rather just purchased a new machine. Anyone have an idea of a solid upgrade that should fit in that same spot?

Any suggestions? Thanks for all your help!

Thank you...Ended up installing a Geforce RTX3060 ventus 2x 12GB and now the game won't load. After a minute or so of clicking to open PC2 from steam, the game crash reporter screen shows up.

Make sure to uninstall old drivers from your old GPU and install the latest/newest driver for your new GPU. Best to uninstall with something like DDU (display driver unistaller) to make sure your old drivers is fully deleted before installing the new one.

Yea I just did all that following along a video on YouTube, reinstalled the new driver and still the same crash happening...not sure why it's crashing now. Did not do this with the old GPU that I had on yesterday. I did send the issue to frontier.

What about other games/software? Any issues there?

If not, you could try and reinstall the game (if you haven't already).
Not sure if the games crash report says anything about why it crashed, it might give some insight in what could be the problem...
