Although the female computer voice is very good, I wondered if it wasn't time to offer a male-voiced alternative, to freshen things up?
I'm not interest in "political correctness" or demanding "gender equality", I just think a different voice might change the mood of the game a little.
Changing the UI might upset people, but offering alternative voices and layouts would seem more realistic. As well as adding more flexible colour scheming instead of the XML tweak which screws some colours up.
Seems odd that there are several manufacturers of space craft, yet they all use the exact same interface software and voice, instead of having their own themes.
I mean, cars have different dashboards, computers and phones have different operating systems, so why would ships be using only one interface 1,000 years in the future?
