This is a piece I've written to mark ten years since I started writing Elite-y fiction. It's a thankyou to all the fans of Oolite and everyone else who kept the Elite flame alive in the 'dark years' between 1996-2011.

I've used the opportunity to tie up a few loose ends and integrate the stories of Elite, Oolite and Dangerous a little. I hope you like it. A free short story.

I had to skip ahead and read Altera even though I'm only half-way done with Incursio. Too many Rifters chatting me up in-game and asking for my opinion on various aspects

One day I hope to follow your lead and write a long-format fanfic set in the Elite universe. I'm still waiting for the 'right story' to hit me. Until then, I'll continue submitting my articles to Ian Dingwall for inclusion in Galnet. They aren't much but they are scratching my writing itch for now. Looking forward to finishing the Oolite Saga and then checking out 'Shadeward'.

I also got into the Elite universe back when Oolite came out and I get chills of nostalgia whenever I think back to it.
