Conda fuel tank question

I want to equip an Anaconda to head out to Colonia. Trying to decide if I should make her very lightweight for bigger jump ranges (in case there are big gaps between scoop cable stars) or to go lightweight and add an extra fuel tank for less fuel scooping. Your thoughts CMDR's?

If you stay away from the scoopable layers above and below the galactic plane you may find the odd T-Tauri but you won't have a problem. You can easily stick with the default tank for the trip to Colonia without the need for extra. On the other hand if you want to avoid too much scooping you can add more fuel. Depends on how you want to do the trip to be honest. Either way is valid.

I would go for the tank, the single jump distance is marginal, but the total distance is doubled, if you use a class 5 tank.

the condas standard fueltank allows 4 jumps, which is just fine. 3,5 is still comfy (so you could reduce to 28t if you have to many internals), less requires awareness or restricting your route to scoopables via the routeplotter (which is no problem on that tour).

I always run an exploration fit Anaconda with a 28t tank. Did so on DWE and that was with in 37ly un-engineered boat. My circumnavigation build (Not finished yet) below illustrates how I do it:

Cut the 32t down to a 16tonner then get a spare 8t and 4t tank. This still gives you the jump capacity of a 32t tank (4 jumps max) but saves you 4t in weight. Considerably boosting your jump range. World according to Voorheez but it works for me.

The standard 32T is fine. But if you are going to use the neutron super-highway and want to optimise for speed then 64T or even more is better. If you are not going to use it and want to optimise for speed then go with 12T (8T main & 4T extra) and filter for scoopables.

And if you're as mad as a bucket of frogs then just turn the ship into a tanker and do it without a scoop :D
