Conda Shields Failing after outfitting

Everytime i go into outfittings even if I don't touch anything my condas shields turn off.

Is this a bug or what?

Either that or it's a bug, are you sure you aren't touching anything while in the outfitting screen? If you aren't then ticket it (unless as julio said you don't have enough power with HP deployed). A way around stopping it happening if you are swapping parts around is to disable your thrusters in the module screen before going into outfitting.

When docked and outfitting, priorities don't matter and everything is charged and turned on...which means shields fail if in an overpowered ship...lame...but it is the way it is.

Haven't been ingame for a few months, apparently shutting off thrusters will fix the issue, they draw a massive chunk of power & you don't need them whilst docked.

Last update of the game this was no issue,
as my FDL runs on priorities as i am 2 MW shortish, i don't loose my shields when in the outfitting screen.
This might however be a bug related to the conda.
Might be a thing with today's patch aswell.

That cannot be true, or my Vulture would lose shields every time I go outfitting, which it did until I set priorities, and now doesn't.
Power priorities do matter in outfitting.

Then they must have fixed it. Which is good news and the O.P. should submit a bug report.

Or he needs to manage his power before trying to take off.....
This behavior has been present since at least whichever patch introduced the power requirements changes (shield cell, and chaff ammo count nerf).
