Engineers Conductive Polymers?

I have spent 3 days searching for Conductive Polymers (CPs) in USS in Anarchy states. Found none!!!

Is this normal or am I just unlucky?

Anyone any ideas how I can improve my luck.

I can not sit at nav beacon to attack haulage vessels to hopefully generate some of these elusive materials because I have 27 platinum in my hold which makes me a target for pirates and interferes with attacking haulage vessels .

So.... my next plan is maybe to sell my hard earned platinum (need it for engineer updates) .... sit at nav beacon and kill haulage vessels in Anarchy states then painstakingly mine again for the platinum when I have the CPs.

Anybody any better ideas?

Grateful for your help.

I have picked up most of them in CZ's dropped by dying pythons I think. Secondly i have found them in combat aftermath USS. You should be able to find these in a wide range of system states, I think the advice mentions Anarchy states to encourage you to pirate them yourself, rather than hunting down the USS I mentioned.

Good luck out there.

I find them in combat aftermath in systems at war and Convoy Pattern ss. Usually one type 9 will be wanted out of 4 clean per each signal.

But I have noticed s slow down myself but probably RNG for me.

OK Guys , I have tried CZs and not got any Conductive Polymers but Plenty of Conductive Components! Do we have a misunderstanding here?
The description in the Broo Tarquin upgrade blueprint definitely says that you find them in Anarchy Systems.
Are you sure that I am looking in the right place for Polymers in CZs any state???

I think you can get Conductive Polymers in an Anarchy system from Combat Aftermath(50/50ish), Encoded Emissions or Degraded Emissions (rare)

RNG plays a part and sometimes they can be elusive. Best bet is to use all the platinum up or get a friend to hold it while you go and blast some anarchy trade ships.

I am coming to the conclusion that this now my only reasonable option......tried everything else. Shame about the Platinum ... took ages to mine.

Thanks!

I'm in the Cubeo system and the controlling faction is in lockdown. Not sure what state it is in now but Combat aftermath SS are spawning very often. You have to cruise the shipping lanes.
I have picked up over 21 in just a few hours this morning. Good luck.

Step 1: Find an Anarchy system near by

Step 2: Drop into the system's Nav Beacon and hang out around the beacon. Wait for ships to begin to spawn.

Step 3: Kill every cargo ship (T6/T7/T9/Keelback)

Step 4: Reset if they are spawning slowly (log out and back in).

Step 5: Collect Conductive Polymers.

People talking about CZs are giving you bad information. Conductive Polymers really don't drop in CZs; those are Polymer Capacitors (similar name, tends to create some confusion). Conductive Polymers are most easily harvested from the corpse of trade ships.

I recommended Anarchy in step 1 because it will allow you to avoid becoming WANTED. The ships I mentioned are the only ones that will drop Conductive Polymers. Ignore the rest.

This is FAR more efficient than praying for Combat Aftermath USS'. I do NOT recommend that technique. It will take you 4x-5x as long to get the same number of Conductive Polymers.

Yep, gotta take my words back. I had to search for conductive polymers today, and this tactic was much quicker!

BZ HH - respect man!

Usually those mats are dropped by high level hauler ships (t7-t9).

ALternative from the hint you get, you can pull out those ships from supercruise too...

Is there any update on this? I've been hanging out in anarchy systems and shooting the high end transport ships as recommended (when they appear - which is infrequently) and I'm not getting Conductive Polymers. Been doing this for days and it's wearing a bit thin. I'm guessing that it has changed and there is now another way - or better way perhaps? Any hints? Appreciated, thanks.
