Cone Sector Permit lock question

Just wanted to know.....If the Gnosis jumps in and there is something other than Pew Pew in there.....Will the permit be lifted? I myself will never make it due to being 23k away however i fear if the cookie crumbles and something big happens this might enrage those that already assume the game is tailored to one group of players by locking them out of the action for not being on a ship at an exact time it jumps.....

P.S No hate intended this is more of a worry question and i already see the future of some of the reply's i might see lol

In my opinion: We are taking a huge risk there. On a roleplay level, we don't know what we may find there and we may all die. On a gameplay level, we are commiting to potentially stay for a whole month inside the Cone Sector or suiciding to make it back to the bubble. And plus, in a narrative point of view, it is quite a good story: The PF forbid us to go in there, and now the Gnosis is simply jumping over their restrictions. It simply makes sense that just a bunch of crazy individuals will actually commit to this project.

From a narrative point of view i agree i just hope that narrative continues with weight and happens alot more often then simply, here you go, you wanted it so we are giving it to you...then nothing until q4...as that would be a very wrong turn

Also expectations are somewhat important, I dont think anyone wants to just wake up, go outside the Gnosis and fight Hydras in USS spawns because if thats all there is its a bit of a permit drop OHHH this is very big bomb to be dropping for just something we have had for a long time already lol

I have a feeling FDev has something there in the Cone Sector be it Guardains sites or Thargoid sites because why else would they allow this if not to surprise us with some story action.

Short version, I've always suspected this. During one of the Betas, I observed V355 Monocerotis (in the Cone Sector) had no government, no economy, no superpower control, essentially everything about it was "None"... but it had a population. That disappeared after the Beta, but I never stopped suspecting.

I'd like to see a destroyed asteroid base in there, right next to the nebula.
Forget which system...

Be careful what You want, You may get it.
There be Dragons.

Prophecy: Repairing Gnosis CG.

I think it could be lost in all honesty. With the Q4 update incoming, which means a potential megaship for each faction, Frontier may use this as an *awesome* excuse to send the Gnosis burning...

Stop me if I'm wrong here, but my understanding was that the Cone Sector wasn't permit locked when the Gnosis planned to jump there. Just all the sectors around the Cone Sector *were* permit locked, so you couldn't reach it without a spectacular jump range (Gnosis can do 550ly apparently).

Since the patch, the Cone sector now *is* permit locked. The entire thing, not just the system the Gnosis is planning to jump to on the 6th. So even if the Gnosis somehow successfully jumps in there, you can't visit any of the other systems there as you would have been able to do when the flight plan was originally logged.

So honestly, what can possibly happen here aside from people potentially being stuck in a single system for a week? Bear in mind suicide will most likely see you respawn at the Gnosis.

Unless its also a detention facility you can get back to the bubble just fine without even blowing up your ship

Given FD's history of using any old excuse on Galnet, are we actually believing the Cone Sector contained Thargoids?

You remember the Thargoids adapting to AX missiles right?

Can you step me through how that works? I'm unfamiliar with some of the finer points of the new C&P system.

Shoot at the Megaship to get a bounty.

Land on the megaship.

Turn yourself in at the contwcts screen.

Get magically transported to the nearest detension facility which will be at least outside the Cone Zone.

Well that's rather excellent really :) What are the ramifications of turning yourself in?

There must be a reason WHY they're letting it jump there though, I doubt it's just to fight the new Hydras because a lot of people can barely handle Basiliks. If that was the reason then surely they would have included a hint in the galnet article telling people to bring guardian or AX weapons or something
