Newcomer / Intro Configuring my Logitech Joystick ( POV hat)

Hello All,,

Thanks in advance. Im having difficultly setting up my joystick(Logitech Extreme 3D Pro). I wish to set it up, so that I can press the (example) Alt button, keep it depressed then use the Hat switch up(look up), press left to view the left side, or press right to view the right side. Release the Alt button to center the view again. The objective is to be able to view out of the cockpit (up and the sides) without having to steer the ship in that direction.

In Controls, under Mode Switches there's Headlook.
Assign your <Alt button> to Headlook and Button Mode under Headlook to HOLD.
Then, in Controls, under Headlook Mode, assign hat switch directions to Look UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT.

Note that you won't be able to center the view by releasing the alt button (unless your joystick software allows for scripting a separate command on button release).

Incorrect (just tested it on my joystick).
Bound a button as HEADLOOK (button mode set as HOLD).
Bound also POV HAT directions to up/down/left/right and CENTRE WHEN HEADLOOK INACTIVE set to ON (HEADLOOK AXIS MODE is ACCUMULATE on my setup)
Works as OP wanted.

Ah - you're right of course. I'm used to using headlook without an alt modifier.
