Conflict free conflict zones

Worked my way into van Maanen's star, and decided to investigate the 3 conflict zones in the system.
Problem is there's no conflict. You can only choose one side and no one is firing any shots... It's quit pretty, but it's really not a conflict zone at the moment.

There were a few threads about this a couple of weeks ago, such as this one.

I assumed they'd fixed it, but from what you describe it would seem not.

I quite like these cornflake zones. Choose the only side you can, then find a nice easy yellow target on your scanner and send him a couple of lasers. He'll turn red and respond but everyone else will just watch with amusement.

You don't get combat vouchers, but the kills do count towards the "kill X ship in cornflake zones" missions. Tasty.

I just got a Mission to go to Wolf 359 and kill 5 in Conflict Zone. Oh was i amazed, but now i sit there and feel like waiting for the Borg to show up... Sure i can just engage one of the yellow ones? Sadly no one is wanted...

It's the same in LP-98, i was shocked when i saw the conflict zone mission appear in Eranin and rushed to freeport, but it was only an amazing amount of ships traveling all in the same direction.
It looked so cool but it wasn't any conflict.

Hmmmm okay i found 2 yellow Eagles that i could take down with my Sidewinder, then i took on a cobra (all System Defence Force, but their buddys did not mind) but that Cobra did blast me to pieces... Either there is something bugged, or they just sort of won that conflict zone, but it was much less exciting than i hoped it would be.

I found out the hard way... Don't accept any Warzone missions for the moment. It will cost you your reputation as you won't be able to finish them because of lack of conflict.
