If anyone is in that neighborhood and is looking for a conflict zone Eta Cassiopeiae (Federation Space, Sol-ish general area) is currently in a civil war. I would recommend it only for seasoned and properly outfitted ships. Even novice rated fighters there are very tough to kill but you get 3000cr per kill and there are many targets to choose from. It ended up not being worth it for me at all because I couldn't destroy targets fast enough. But it was much fun seeing dozens of ships zipping around and laser fire blasting off in all directions. These zones would be awesome if the wing mechanic was up and running and you could fight here with friends.

This is crazy! I think a faction modifier should be introduced to prevent this happening in certain systems. There is no way that a civil war would breakout in Eta Cassiopeiae the Federal Navy would stop it dead.
The Federal Navy is fighting there, several of those Condors were flying around fighting for the Purple ....something... faction. I chose to side with that faction since I was already friendly with them and I didn't want to go up against what the Federal Navy was using. Although, the other site had deadly and elite ranked Asps and Vipers that I just could not compete with and I had to bug out.
I've got some vipers stationed around the galaxy near conflict zones... I've outfitted them purely for these conflicts. Best I've had yet is 22 kills in a conflict before docking and cashing in.
Always good to know where more are.
