Newcomer / Intro Conflict Zone - I didn't get paid?

I found a conflict zone for the first time. I decided to try it out. I jumped in, killed a bunch of ships. I didn't get paid a single credit for any of those kills.

What did I do wrong? Is there something I have to do in order to get paid?

I just went back and this time I selected a faction. I had more people shooting at me but I still didn't get any money for killing the enemy.

Did you have a mission for the zone or did you just go in one? I don't think many of the ships in the conflict zone actually have bounties, that's not an area to bounty hunt in if that's what your attempting to do.

If you're bounty hunting you should be using USS's, rings, belts, or RES's...

Conflict Zones should be giving a 3k combat bond per kill. Like bounties, you need to go to the appropriate faction controlled station to cash them in.

I don't see any combat bonds in my left window. Are they supposed to be listed there?

They should be listed there, Kayin. If you're sure you chose a faction and only killed the enemy (red), then you should be racking up 3,000cr per kill. I've been doing it for the past 3 days in Banki.

This might be a bug, but not sure. Just be very sure you're choosing a faction when you enter the combat zone, and only destroy enemy ships.

The 3k should come up in the notification window where normal wanted bounty messages appear too. That's if you've chosen a faction within the conflict zone and presumably you are not shooting up the green "allies" but the red "enemies".
To cash in, much like bounties on wanted ships that you've successfully gotten the "kill" on, you have to go to the station with the correct faction (the one you picked) and choose the contacts option, and the "combat war bonds". ie NOT pilot federation (where you pay system fines to clear your wanted status), or local system contacts (where you get local faction as well as major viz Federation/Empire/Alliance bounties).

Have fun and as someone pointed out in another thread, there are ramifications (however small and slight) of the faction you choose....
