Ok, so I was able to fight in the Kappa Fornacis conflict zone this morning (lost my shirt in repairs, unfortunately). Figured the bug had quit. Took a mission to kill warzone targets, and the warzone is once again running away from my. It's going to be exceptionally difficult to kill 9 ships over the next two hours, when I only get a grand total of about 3 seconds of being in the conflict area before the whole thing just hauls butt out of there.
Edit: Restarted my computer, and tried again after a few hours. Was elated to find the conflict zone had stopped moving. I had 43 minutes to kill 9 targets. ~15 minutes in I had killed 4 targets. Thought to myself, "Hey, I might actually still be able to pull this off!" Suddenly, the friendly python I was fighting along side decided he needed to be somewhere else. Cut in front of my, and turned flat. There was no way I could stop in time. Slammed right into him. Almost 600k cr insurance bill. Getting kinda tired of that. 2 of 3 times I've died have been to NPCs driving in entirely reckless manners. >:|
