I was just curious as to if conflict zones or hazrez sites on planet/moon surface has ever been brought up or talked about? I think it would be cool to see battles taking place on the surface with shattered hulls all over the ground and having to use your SRV to salvage it. Or something along those lines anyway... lol...*

I recall reading a post a while ago crying out for conflict zones in somewhere other than random empty points of space. I agreed with it then, I agree with it now.
If it helps though, your SRV Salvaging wishes can be slightly fulfilled by exploring the planets. There are ship wreckages dotted about the place. Not as good as watching a massive conflict above you I know, but still some impressive sights to be found

well salvaging on the planet after a massive battle isn't a must. I just think it would be awesome to fight close to the surface and seeing ships crashing when disabled. Having a huge battle overhead would be a cool sight to see in ED for sure! It would certainly make the game seem more "alive" if you want to call it that. I guess what I'm after is making planets/moons seem like they mean something or whatever is going on there worth fighting over if that makes sense.

I like the idea, but I think frontier needs to do more in the way of SRV variation before those conflict zones can become a reality.
