Conflict Zones still bugged after 2 years or am I doing something wrong?

So been blasting ships in a conflict zone this morning. Half the kills never register for the mission and sometimes I never get bonds for kills. I am killing the right faction and the system I'm doing this in is in a state of war. So what gives? I am killing all sorts of ships not just condors or vipers going for the vettes and pythons too. I remember this being an issue when the game launched. Been stuck on 60 kills out of 80 even though I've hit/killed at least 5 or 6 ships. I've tried relogging and that sometimes fixes the issue.
 
I've not noticed this happening. I've spent the better part of 10hrs in a CZ today. If there is a capital ship in the area, it is a total waste of time and energy taking part, however.
 
Tried in HIGH and LOW conflict zones in the same system.

Very strange normally a relog fixes things.

As long as I hit the target it should register bonds/kills right? or did something change I'm not aware of?

No, you need to do a substantial amount of damage to them. You can't just snipe them for 1% and claim the bounty.
 
Do a minimum of 10% hull damage to get awarded. :)
Ideally towards the end.

Not an exact figure, but I've done as little at that and been awarded for the kill.

If you do the first 100-90% hull damage and wander off, you won't get anything usually. Unless the target dies almost instantly.

Changed a long time back. You need to do a few percent damage to them, and get some hits in within the last 30-60 seconds before they die. Note, my numbers may be off, but in that sort of ballpark.

Ah really when did that change then? used to be as long as you got the hit you got the kill

Back in the day, you could ally with the side with the capital, dock your Viper on top of the capital ship, set the class 1 turrets to fire at will.. and even if they hit once, with no damage.. you could AFK for hours, and come back with millions of bonds...

Then they 'fixed' it :( meanies. :eek:
 
As long as you get a hit on them it counts as a kill, i can count many times that i have got a shot on the last 1% of an NPC.

I had a similar issue earlier, went to go kill security for some polymer capacitors but when they died no mats dropped (as if i hadnt killed them).
