Do they serve any purpose? I go there, blow up the people who aren't green, and then... am I supposed to get something? I go back to a station and check out the contacts list and there ain't nothing there. So, no bounties, no bonds, no change in rank or rep or am I missing something? it's just a waste of ammo.

When entering there, go to the right panel under functions choose a temporary faction at the top then shoot the red, you get combat bonds for money, also you get a lot of combat xp for killing elite ships there aswell
Ohhh, that's what the faction toggle thingy is for? I always thought it was some vestigial remnant of something that was for PC but not yet on Xbone.
Coolio, thanks. Since I have tons of fun in conflict zones with it being a big battle and all it'l be nice to actually get some rewards for once.

No problem, just make sure to cash them in like bounties in the system you got them.
