Well well well, so some of you have some sense of what is really important. I'm delighted to see that. If you guys could focus on mining instead of rattling your sabers this thing would be over and Cmdr Baton would be drinking finest grog in his favourite bar already.
As for assurance, well try Bank of Zaonce maybe, we are pirates, we stick to the Code and that is it.
I should ask for assurance for my guy, as he will be in unarmed vessel, but he is just a pawn, you shoot him down, the deal is over, Baton dies horrible death and you can waste another 3 weeks looking for Delta instead on focusing on the other sites.
Anyways I understand TWH mined some LTD as well, maybe talk to them and join the effort, I prefer to get all on one ship, you know, the galaxy is Dangerous and all that, do not want my guy to spend 3 hours collecting cargo :)

Cmdr Goliat, we are mining indeed, but rest assured your crime will not go unpunished. The only reason we are adhering to your conditions is the critical situation of Cmdr Baton and the coordinates of the Delta Site.

I've responded to your message Cmdr Shallowgrave. I'm okay combining my mined LTDs with those from Winged Hussars.

Cmdr Goliat, I'm not mining these diamonds because I want to. I'm mining them because it seems like the path of least violence and more likely to secure Cmdr Baton's safe release.
The Winged Hussars have helped Children of Raxxla in the past with the exploration data CG, so it is fair that a CoR Cmdr try to help the Hussars in this situation.

Are we certain that we can trust this "Commander" Goliat? I put the title in quotes because pirates barely deserve the title, if at all. He's a scalawag pure and simple. Shouldn't we be trying to locate the settlement site? We do that and Goliat looses his leverage. We can put him into retreat and send him chasing his tail across the cosmos.

The Colonia Militia might be willing to provide a hand; this is quite near Colonia Council's Sacaqawea Space Port. Colonia has the closest jurisdiction. It might be good to see if they are willing to pursue justice in this case.

Goliat is a pirate and a kidnapper, but he's not a liar or murderer. I know that much. I would say that he is going to keep his part of the deal.

Not a murderer, huh? If he follows through with his threat you're going to have to change your opinion ...

EDIT: If we fail and he lets Baton live, then he's a liar. If he kills him then he's a murderer.

I don't think he will.

We will make a proposition tonight. Until then our mining squad is digging for LTD's. We'll keep you posted, Commanders. So far Cmdrs Zenith and John Rhys have joined us. If anyone else is willing to provide assistance, don't hesitate to contact me.

Looks like I seriously overestimated your ability to mine anything, my grandma could mine more diamonds in two hours than you managed to get in two days.

As there is juicier deal waiting for me somewhere else, I will take any LTD you got at the moment, and maybe 50 tons of gold, give you the latitude, my guy jumps away then I will give you the longitude, and we go our separate ways.

I am just a businessman, I don't kill people I haven't been paid to kill, and nobody paid for Mr Baton, so assuming you make your way to him in time, he should be OK.

The Winged Hussars, can you make it tonight after 21 GMT to Liv system in the bubble?

I get the impression you're starting to get a little twitchy about the fact the Rifters might find CMDR Baton and the Delta site before you receive payment...

It does seem like he is spooked. The site will be found regardless, Baton would merely be one more casualty of the Delta expedition. I also have a backup of their map before it was...vandalized.

Considering that the planet is tidally locked and we can measure the angle of the shadows from the SRVs in the existing screenshot finding the location, near the shadow of a mountain range, will be child's play. If my theory that the bases are layed out in the same North, south, East, West pattern then finding the location shouldn't take more than a few hours. Sadly, I'm nowhere nearby to test my hypothesis.

It's tidally locked to a planet, not the Sun. The sun position does change there.

I agree. I'm there now, checking shadows of mountain ranges on the more sunny side.

This is CMDR Scarlet Ashcroft reporting for duty. I have arrived in the Liv system and will be providing security detail in the event that hostilities erupt.
Please note, I am in no way in favor of these pirates, but if anyone fires upon them while the deal is underway, I will be forced to act in the best interests of the hostage and I will disable your ship.
Once the deal is complete I will no longer be on acting security detail and will not pursue either party should they choose to engage.
