Confused about expirimental addition for thrusters

So I keep hearing dirty drives are the way forward so I got those but which expirimental effect should I go for? I threw on stripped down for now but is direct or drag better for a Type 10?

Drag drives, usually. It depends on the heat - drag drives increases it a fair bit.
Double-braced is probably the sensible option for a large combat ship

So as my ship is in the 1000 ton range it's drag drivers right?

Certainly, unless you're trying to fit undersized thrusters that wouldn't work otherwise.

Drive distributors raise the maximum mass for thrusters.
Enhanced drives can benefit from drive distributors but they don't come in a size that will fit a 1000t ship.

Just my own 2 CR. For a big ol' heffer like the T-10, I'd personally suggest using the Drive Distributors experimental. Speed isn't the issue, it's agility. What are you planning on using this T-10 for?

It depends on the thruster size.
1000t is barely over the minimum mass for 7A dirty drag drives, ie the point where going lighter will confer no additional benefit.
Ergo increasing min/optimal mass via drive distributors seems pointless in that situation.

With a type 10 id go for the dirty drives but with double braced effect. Yes i know it adds weight but it will increase the integrity so you are less likely to have your drives destroyed if your hauling cargo. Same with power distibuters and power plants. Most npcs and pirates will try to knock these modules out to stop you escaping while they pick your hold clean. I know its not the original point exactly but for a trade /cg build its worth concidering.
