Confused about Linking lines between Systems

I have already noticed that you need so play around with the current view on the galaxy map, to get the links between the systems to appear, or that you also wont see the lines anymore at a certain distance of the current system youre in, but ive encountered something weird. I'm bounty hunting in the same system now for days, and always take the same route to a Alliance system to get my pay, but yesterday one of the links between 2 Systems disappeared, i moved and moved the map around, zoomed in and out alot of times, i even tried it again later, it didnt appear, so i took a longer route to the alliance system. But today, the link is back.

Are the Systems itself moving? I really rather think it was a bug but maybe i missed a game feature here, are systems moving so they lose their links? Did anyone encounter something like that?

The links are dependent on your current jump range. Only jumps that you can make appear on the map.
Your jump range depends on your current mass/cargo load.
So my guess is that the link disappeared because you had more cargo?

There is a slider on the galaxy map for your cargo load from empty to full in the second tab on the left side. You can see the links disappear and reappear when you increase or decrease the slider.

Some links between the systems also get reset, if you choose to take the fastest, rather than the most economic route.
The galaxy map also has a limited range displaying those lines, regarding your fuel max and usage per jump.

Thanks for the answers so far.

Are you sure that its my current jumprange? I dont think so, if i decide to plot a route to a really far away star, i usually wont see the lines completly to the destination system (lets say its 150 - 200 LY away), so what i do is zoom out and play a little bit with the camera, and look for a system thats somewhere on the way, i wait for the lines to appear, it takes some time, until they completly stop popping out and set my route to that system thats in between, so i guess that cant be. Putting that aside, even if its like that i never use the economic/Fastest Filters, i know one of the options is always used when you plot a route, but i'd say it doesnt matter i was directly in the system that should have the Link, and it wasnt there.
