Confused Part Deux

Previous thread I was lost in which VR to buy between the Rift and Vive.....after a great deal of research and reading and very helpful comments from these boards, I went with Vive. Got it in yesterday....installed it.....and now I feel like I just bought another DK2. While I didn't expect to be wowed to tears or anything, I did kind of expect the quality to be at least better than my DK2 and I am struggling to see it.

I felt the same. However there are big problems with the Vive rendering in Elite Dangerous at the moment which I expect Frontier to address. Mainly I experience quite bad aliasing across the board which really leaves you with that feeling your DK2 was just better.

I don't feel too disapointed since elsewhere I am having a blast with the Vive. I highly recommend you give Vivecraft a try even if you never really had an interest in Minecraft before.

I will definitely be looking at other titles to make use of the Vive and justify the cost. Won't lie, Elite was a primary reason for getting it and just feel kinda silly about it right now since I doubt I will play much elite with it for now. Didn't take long to have a litany of things I'm not happy with, some I never read complaints about for some reason.

You need to tweak the Vive settings and not just settle for VR High or Low.

There are several excellent posts on Vive settings already. Find what works for you.
