Confusing Ship Outfitting

Is anyone else really confused by the new outfitting UI? I just wanted to swap out some passenger cabins on my Beluga last night, and it took me ages to figure out the UI. Who in God's Name decided this was a better setup than Horizons? It's not intuitive, and it's so radically different that it feels like we need a series of tutorials on how to use it.

i totally agree no simple "Swap" anymore for module.. also when wanting to "ADD" stored modules you can ad 1 to an empty slot .. then you have to back out and go back to the stored module tab to select another otherwise it takes you to the store... suck balls all the U.I is screwed since oddy especially the galaxy maps

We told them so in Alpha
... and they have listened.

FD removed the last "line of defense" of new "improved" UI.

The last option that was allowing to use it at least a bit efficient :
reconfiguring UI to see and equip stored modules after entering
ship loadout
and choosing to buy modules
is now missing.

RIP new UI, I close ED and start Horizon to rebuild my ships,
because it's FASTER
then jumping back and forth through the absurdly inefficient tree of new UI.

In the Alpha you could show your stored modules amongst the shop ones by going into Filters, then selecting and deselecting one checkbox. (This in the view where you're looking at the 'for sale' modules of a certain type. E.g. cargo racks.)

After that, when you try to buy a module your stored ones of a similar type are shown in the same place.

Am I insane, or is there no way to see exactly what the modification type and level is on any given stored module?
There is a Modifications tab at the top of the module window, but it still sucks balls that we have to click it. Why can't this info just be right there in the main window?? And what is this FDev obsession with selling everything? We don't want to sell everything by default FDev! Especially without a confirmation dialogues Fdev. Selling things should get its own dedicated area, not everyday outfitting. I accidentally sold my G5 Corvette because I clicked the stupid sell ship button by mistake. Add a damned confirmation there too FDvev, or give it a dedicated sell ship area. "Oh herp-derp lets sell that fully engineered Corvette, that I spent six months building, because herp-derp-derp, haha, lol". Everything is backasswards in this game.

UI definitely designed by a coder (...)
I can assure you, no sane "coder" would design this monstrosity .
A REAL coder has it in blood : to reduce unnecessary steps and optimize (shorten) execution time.
It "leaks" to their general thinking and problem solving attitude.

Considering this fact with inefficiency of current UI,
it could NOT be designed by anyone who has written programs longer then a few lines of code at any point of their life.

Yeah, but that tab doesn't seem to exist when you're looking at stored modules only. Stored modules just show you stats with a little engineer icon to show that the stats are modified. But as far as I can tell, there is no way to see what the modification level or type is.

Great! I didn't even notice that. Welp, then it's even more immersive fun Frontier click simulator for us.
And why they removed the transfer directly from storage option is absolutely beyond comprehension.
STORAGE IS WHERE WE STORE OUR STUFF FDEV!! PUT IT BACK!

We really need some kind of documentation or tutorial from FDev for the whole UI setup. They can't make so many radical changes and expect us to just "muddle through" and figure it out as we go...

use horizons to do the loadouts, then play in odyssey. It´s so much faster than the new system in odyssey to use your stored modules.

I haven't looked into outfitting until reading this and i wish i didn't. Whoever has done this definitely never played the game, same goes for the person who approved it.
The new UI is insane, they have to remove this crap und give us the old UI or at least something usable.
